Lower altitude Trekking up to 3600m / 12'000ft

Opposite to our walks & hikes, during a trekking-tour you walk/trek for a certain number of days (usually 5 to 14), often away from roads and accompanied by a trekking-team. Our lower-altitude treks take you to remote, hilly, mountainous areas that are often sparsely populated and covered with a combination of cultivated fields, various types of forests and meadows and providing gorgeous panoramic views onto the hilly surroundings or snow-capped mountain worlds in a distance. Enjoy various types of vegetations – from the tropical to the sub-alpine on these walks. They often take place within National Parks or sanctuaries and require special permits that we organize for you.

Our lower altitude treks are for you if...

  • enjoy three to eight hours of trekking per day for a duration of about five to fourteen days
  • ...enjoy trekking on a combination of narrow village-paths, well-maintained trekking-trails and at times trail-less sections
  • ...prefer solid accommodation
  • ...this is your first trekking-experience and you do not have experience in high altitudes

You will be accompanied by...

  • experienced, local trekking-guide
  • ...porters, ponies, yaks, camels or a combination thereof – carriage of all camping-equipment and your main luggage is taken care of – you only carry your day-backpack
  • experienced trekking-cook with kitchen-team - depending on the destination of your choice your meals may also be provided in tea-houses & lodges; meals are usually served warm three times a day; on some days your lunch may be pre-packed & in pick-nick style

Accommodation... in lodges, guesthouses or homestays, trekking-tents or a combination of the two

Depending on your previous experience, your physical condition and your preferences we can help you choose the ideal trek for you. When advising you we take into considering desired daily hours of trekking, type of accommodation, altitude at overnight-sites for ideal adjustment to higher altitudes, type of trails/surface, permit-procedure and season.
